Gary Grand 03:41:45
Mark Mardell 03:41:48
Mark Downes 04:21:53
it’s a well organised race, the whole area is closed to traffic for the weekend of the event. The course crosses the Danube multiple times. It does follow the river for large parts but this doesn’t make it a flat race, 1000 ft of elevation (according to our garmins).
Support was good at points, particularly the bridges. There are several points where spectators can see runners more than once.
9am start Temperatures 19 degrees-23 degrees humidity 93-100%
The Hungarian people were amazing, recommend the ruin bars, szimpler kert in particular,
The thermal spa was pretty special near heroes square as was heroes square, plenty of history and places of interest.
We toured with big bus company, hop on hop off around the city and a nice boat cruise.

Back in my day there was a song called 'Trains and Boats and Planes' (written by Burt Bacharach and recorded by Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas amongst others-Ask your grandparents about it). Now at the Virgin London Marathon there may have indeed been trains and boats and planes but there's was definitely a sheep- and an Aston Martin car among the 36 Norwich Road Runners who ended the race. Well done guys you were great
13 Runners did the Brighton Marathon. Well Done. Sorry no filter on the results web site to search for NRR members
